Drone4Build produces open-access research, frameworks, and training resources to advance drone skills in Europe's construction sector. Here you can explore our published outputs and what is coming next.
R2.1 Strategic Report on Drone Skills in the Construction Sector
This strategic analysis maps the skills landscape for drone technology in construction, with a focus on renovation and retrofitting. Developed through desk research, expert contributions, and cross-country stakeholder input, the report identifies capability gaps and sets out a technology roadmap for the sector.

EU Regulatory Analysis
Stakeholder Validation Workshops (A2.2)
In May 2026, Drone4Build conducted stakeholder engagement workshops in all five partner countries. Drone operators, construction specialists, VET trainers, and researchers reviewed the strategic report findings and validated the identified skills gaps, directly shaping the upcoming curriculum.
Coming Next
The next delivery cycle translates the research and workshop findings into practical training, certification references, and collaborative dissemination outputs.
R2.2 Stakeholder Workshop Engagement Report
A consolidated synthesis of findings from all national workshops, capturing validated skills gaps, curriculum priorities, and implementation recommendations.
R2.3 Drone Competency Framework aligned with DigComp
A mapped reference framework for construction-specific drone competences, supporting VET providers, certification bodies, and industry stakeholders.
WP3 Drone4Build Training Programme & Curriculum
A blended learning curriculum combining face-to-face workshops with interactive online modules on drone operations, data processing, safety, and regulatory compliance.
WP4 Pilot Testing & Train-the-Trainer
Pilot courses in each partner country followed by train-the-trainer workshops to build sustainable VET capacity for drone education across Europe.
